We are Mandy and Andy.
We were born and raised in Michigan where we met and fell in love. Mandy wanted to move to Gulf Shores, Alabama and Andy decided to move down there with her and her two kitties, Chase and Gabby. That was a fun trip and a story for another time.
We took our first trip to Mexico when Mandy suggested Playa del Carmen since she had been there before and loved it. We spent two weeks at our favorite hotel in the spring and fell in love with the town. From then on we started spending two weeks in the spring and two weeks in the winter at the hotel. We realized that the next and only logical step was to get a condo and move down here full time. It has been a crazy and exciting journey so we wanted to share our experiences with you so that you can learn from our mistakes, laugh at our goofs, and cry with our sad experiences. We “did the legwork” and learned the “ups and downs”. We have an ongoing joke that we always learn the hard way. So trust us when we say, “We have been through everything!”
We are so grateful. But trust us, it’s not an easy feat. The knowledge that we’ve gained is priceless and every step of the way has been its own learning experience. Looking back, if we would’ve known the things we know now, we would have saved a lot of money and time.
